Humbug II represented at Innovate UK/Defra networking event

Researchers Dr Yunpeng Li, Dr Yuanbo Hou and Kieran Storer represented the Humbug II team at the Innovate UK/Defra 'Environmental Monitoring: Innovation and Policy Exchange' event held at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

All the winning research projects from the recent UKRI-Defra Innovation in Environmental Monitoring competition were invited to attend plus industry representatives, policy makers and funding agencies. The aim was to start a dialogue about the capabilities and principles required for the effective development and real-world deployment of environmental monitoring systems for broader impact and use.

Discussions also encouraged a supportive innovation ecosystem and offered researchers further insight into public sector environmental monitoring and government priorities.
